Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year filled with gatherings of all your loved ones! We had plenty of those gatherings! We started off with a celebration two nights before Christmas with Daddy's family. Junior enjoyed opening his first presents since his birthday in September. It came naturally for him...

Showing us how strong he was to pick up his Mega Bloks

Introducing "Dusty" the vacuum

Listening intently to his Uncle/Godfather read a book while his cousin also listened. On a side note...these two little guys not only share the same middle name and the same birthday (one year apart), but they also share the love of red shirts and thumb sucking! Junior only sucks his thumb once in a blue moon. I guess he was just idolizing his older cousin.

When there's no snow for Christmas...go sledding indoors.

We then went on a hayride and caroled through town on Christmas Eve. My longtime (since middle school) best friend and her family always have Christmas Eve festivities at their house complete with good food, good company, a caroling hay ride and of course a visit from Santa for the kids!

Here we are caroling on the hayride.

The big hit at the party for Junior was the dog, Tucker. Junior was Tucker's shadow all night. Junior never could catch him!

Santa was NOT a big hit!!!

Then we woke up Christmas morning and had our own little family celebration. Junior LOVED his new "Learning Tower".

He knew just what to do with all those presents under the tree...pick them up and run!

Junior and Mommy Christmas morning getting ready to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus!

And last but not least, one last celebration at my family's house. Junior was not shy about the present openings. He had it down pat by now. We just had a hard time keeping him from opening everyone else's!

New shirt from Aunt K she got while in Peru.

New pillow from Great-Grandma she handmade from the leftover material from his bedding. I think he likes it! I still have the pillow she made me when I was little.

The title is Merry Christmas and Happy New Year....I didn't see any New Year's pictures, but I heard that the festivities were HUGE! Ha! Loved this post - one of the best yet! He is so precious.
