Last day of school

Junior sure has grown up over the past school year. This was me picking him up the first day of school back in September. (He looks like a baby!)

And this was me picking him up from the last day of school in May. He looks too old! :(

He grew accustomed to going every Thursday and loved to be there. When asked what he was going to do in school that morning he would reply, "paint". And sure enough we would arrive at school, he would put his folder, backpack and lunch away with my help and stand next to the art table and patiently wait his turn if someone else was there already. He brought home numerous art projects each day. (I wonder if he will miss any of them.) He could recall all the names of the other 9 kids in his class and talked about them often. Towards the end of the year he was asking me to "Go, momma" when I dropped him off. I knew then that he was enjoying his days there!

Don't think this bite will make it down

Family visits

My Aunt D, Uncle G and cousin A came up for a weekend visit in the beginning of May. This is the only time I dug my camera out to take a picture. Baby girl with her Great Aunt.

Nana and Great One surprised us with a weekday visit. It sure was nice for me to have a break from the little ones.

Over the past month...

Baby girl has grown immensely! She has rolled over from her stomach to her back and I think from her back to her stomach is coming soon. She will give you smiles for hours if you just give her one first. She is rarely fussy and has a care-free attitude. She will only fuss when it's time to eat or she's tired...even then she doesn't get too upset. She loves to stand with help and sits fairly well supported. She is noticing a lot more these days and appreciates all the activity going on around her...especially her big brother. She is sleeping for at least 6 hours or more at night and is so easy to put down for naps and bedtime by falling asleep on her own.

Easter 2009

Easter 2009 started out with mass in the morning, back to our house for an indoor (rain outside and last year it was too cold) egg hunt, then off to Nana and Great One's for lunch and family fun, then to Mimi and Grandad's for a quick visit. Christ is risen! Alleluia!!!

I think next year, he will not have time to stop and pose or show us what he found with baby girl on his heels!

Our newest nephew

Baby A was born last night at 5:25pm (8 lbs. 12 oz. and 22 in. long). We were blessed to visit with him and his mommy this morning. Both are doing very well and the whole family (ours included) could not be more excited to have him here. Congratulations H family! He is adorable!
