Baby shower at work

My coworkers were gracious enough to throw me a shower up at work to celebrate the coming of our little girl. I was so thankful to get so many GIRL clothes!!!

Most all of my wonderful coworkers...on the night shift that is.

Trick-or-treat

One picture of the cut out cookies we made on Halloween. This is the only picture you get because the finished product was not worthy of a picture! :(

Junior did an excellent job trick-or-treating once he realized what was going on! The first couple houses we went up to he continued saying "Nooooo" all the way up to the door. After the first few though, his "no" turned into "more". He loved the houses with dogs inside for him to look at. He never once asked for a piece of candy while we were out or tried to eat any. When he came back down the sidewalk of each house he did however stop to put his pumpkin down, take out the piece of candy he just received and show either Daddy or I (whoever didn't accompany him to the door) what was just added to his stash. He then put it back in and continued on his way saying "more"! Once we got home he headed straight for the couch, emptied his pumpkin and picked out a piece of candy to eat. He sure was ready by then!

The eye patch was only on long enough for the picture.

34 weeks...but a picture at 32 weeks

We are so close we can hardly stand the wait! But then we realize how much we still need to get done before her arrival and we are thankful for the weeks to come to still prepare.

Junior's new bed

We are getting ready for the changes we have coming up and one big one for Junior has been his new bed. We are taking all of his furniture out of his room and putting it in baby girl's room. The first and only thing we have moved so far is him out of his crib and into a toddler bed. Thanks to his Aunt J we have this bed on loan from them.

The first couple of nights and nap times were great! He would wake up and call for us to come get him. We would find him sitting on the edge of his bed waiting for us. We knew it was too good to be true. We now find him coming out of his room by his self which is fine except for the fact that he doesn't bother to come and get us. So we end up waking up and finding him already up and wandering the house. We are going to have to find a solution to this soon. He still goes to bed great for us. He does not come out of his room once we put him down either for naps or night time. We hope this continues to be an easy transition. Below, a picture of the new bed in action.

And my work here is done...

After dinner a few nights ago I went to check my email and came back to the kitchen to find this...

Daddy finishing the cookies

Junior washing the dishes

I was in awe! All I could do was smile and then go rest on the couch! I have taught them well. It wasn't until later I found out that Junior was unprompted. Daddy said he heard him pushing his tower around the floor but did not know that he pushed it up to the sink and turned on the water to wash the dishes! I still get a little teary eyed thinking of this scene again in my mind.

Pumpkin Patch 2008

We actually made it out to the pumpkin patch this year before the last weekend. Nana and Great One for the 3rd year in a row have joined us out there since it is 10 minutes from their house. We always enjoy the company and the extra set of hands. Next year we will need them even more!

Daddy and Junior on the train...apparently Daddy wanted to ride this train last year, but I cut in line in front of him and didn't allow him to, so this year he was determined!

Coming around the bend

Hayride...not as much of a thrill as the train

Junior had to get a picture with "Bop-Bop"

We sent him into this hay bale maze and thought he would be frightened and not know how to make his way out. It was much too small for any of us to get in there to rescue him had he needed it, but he didn't. He took at least 3 laps through this maze smiling all the while.

This year's costume...

Arrrr matey! (We were surprised he let us put the eye patch on.)

Playdate with Little J

We had the pleasure of having Little J and his mom over to play at our house. The boys had so much fun just running around and playing with trucks...Junior's favorite past time. We sure hope to meet up with them again soon! I didn't get my camera out until the very end. So I don't have any "action" shots.

Happy Baptism Day, Junior!

Two years ago today Junior was baptized into the Catholic faith. We celebrated with brownies and ice cream, lighting his baptismal candle, putting his sash around him and singing a few songs. He also received a special phone call from his godmother wishing him a Happy Baptism!
